The products are proven by scientific research and real life testing. Because of complex and hugely expensive legislation regarding the production of cosmetics we have chosen not to market our range in retail outlets, this is a conscious choice.
We are a small Ayurvedic Clinic in the UK and we make all the products by hand, mixing and adding ingredients that have been prepared by a qualified and experienced cosmetic chemist to bring you products that we believe do what we say they do. You cannot buy any of our products in shops; we mix the actives in our Ayurveda Clinic in Cheshire and supply to individuals, by word of mouth, invitation (party plan) or the internet. We do not sell our products in expensive; double skin packaging to give the illusion of more contents, we buy simple but attractive containers that show you what you get.
We use the most effective ingredients for skin rejuvenation and care. Our products contain many of the same expensive active ingredients that are found in incredibly high priced well known skin care products. We don’t spend money on making our packing fancy or charging you for advertising. We keep our prices sensible and honest and rely on the results you get that will keep you as a long term valuable client.
Most of our clients trust what we put into our products and we do not give ingredients list unless you specifically require one. ( you can read them in the descriptions below) You are responsible for trying the products in a sensible way, by using a small amount or doing a patch test to ensure that you do not have an adverse reaction to any of the actives, this is very rare, what does happen is that the skin begins to tingle and glow as the active ingredients get to work on the skin.

‘Vani Facescyence’ Products from the Ayurveda Clinic & Spice Spa
We start ALL our active creams and serums using Ayurvedic principles, herbs, spices and preparation techniques and then add concentrates of scientific actives to enhance and truly rejuvenate the skin cells.
1. Active Day Cream
This incredible high end cream is excellent for anybody who is worried about wrinkles and skin firmness. This cream contains an active critical to mitochondrial activity, Coenzyme Q10, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants galore, including glutathione and astaxanthin, healing sea kelp bioferment plus actives you can only find in products priced at over $600 per ounce, like epidermal growth factor. (See description of EGF below)
This formula contains Resveratrol which is a must for active cream. Our Resveratrol comes from Polygonum Cuspidatum, Japanese Knotweed, a plant that produces Resveratrol in very high concentrations. Additional information suggests that Resveratrol may mimic the beneficial effects of a low calorie diet. Carnosine will prevent proteins like collagen from being glycosylated, affecting elasticity of protein and skin and alpha lipoic acid will act as an antioxidant and generate coenzymes essential for respiration. Receptors for estrogen (which declines slowly starting at about 35 or so), will be occupied by phytoestrogens from soy, letting your skin know that you are still feeling young and are not ready to let your skin age faster than you are. Finally, liquid crystal will provide cholesterol to your cell membranes and radiance that is more than just appearances.
2. Active Night Cream
This high end cream is a heavier version of the day cream with active green tea included for overnight anti oxidant activity, it is excellent for anybody who is worried about wrinkles and skin firmness. This eye cream has everything that could help the delicate skin of around the eyes, using just a tiny amount will help the eyes regain firmness and reduce puffiness and dark circles. This cream is equivalent to ones that cost £30 for the same quantity. It is rich but not oily too much oil could bring about milia. It contains actives that will help de-puff, like caffeine, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sea Kelp Bioferment, Natural Active Peptides, Grape Seed and others that will help maintain skin thickness, which otherwise would decrease with age. This recipe now includes epidermal growth factor (EGF) growth factor, healing; increases skin renewal; anti-age.
4. Glow Essence
This amazing serum contains everything you would ever need for a fresh vibrant glowing skin; you will not find anything like this anywhere. It is specifically designed to help repair the skin barrier and supply all lipids your skin needs, including essential fatty acids (in rosehip oil), and other lipids your skin can synthesize but may not be making in sufficient amounts. The serum will rejuvenate broken, dry skin that does not provide a good barrier against the environment. It is nutritive and healing for scars and stretch marks as well. It rejuvenates and provides daily actives in the serum. Continuous use of this serum will alleviate skin dryness and sensitivity and rejuvenate the skin. This product makes the lips look wonderful and also provides active ingredients that encourage lip protection and skin care for the lips.
6. Face and Throat Peel Exfoliate (x 4 weeks for Home use)
This is a high penetration Alpha/Beta exfoliant made up of salicylic and lactic acids in a high penetration carrier. We use the safest ingredients available. This particular mix is the perfect strength for home use and comes with four pads ready for four applications (one per week).This kit leave the skin glowing and vibrant, clears small blemishes, and softens lines, wrinkles, regular use improves the skins appearance considerable. A fabulous product at a fraction of the price charged for salon treatments that do not contain the same active ingredients.
Pour liquid onto the pads in the jar. Leave for five minutes while liquid absorbs. Remove one pad from the jar and use pad and then fingers to lightly massage peel solution over the skin. Remove peel immediately if discomfort or irritation is severe. For sensitive skin, leave peel for 5-7 minutes, for more resistant skin, and leave on for up to 10 minutes. You will need a make-up remover type cleanser to remove the exfoliant.
7. Rejuvenating Body Exfoliator & Scrub - ‘Made from the Earth’
This fantastic product is made from a host of stimulating, revitalising, natural ayurvedic herbs and spices. This massive 500 ml pot is full of energising properties that will help you to smooth cellulite, reduce body fat and encourage continued stimulation. Ingredients include, mineral rich, hand dried salts from the natural open plains of rural France, rejuvenating and nurturing yellow sandalwood and sacred healing red sandalwood from supported areas in India. Stimulating organic cardamom seeds that stimulates the mind and heart and gives clarity and joy, is good for the nervous system CLOVES are an effective stimulant and aromatic for the lungs and stomach. They dispel chill and disinfect the lymphatics. They are very heating and their energizing BLACK PEPPER is one of the most powerful digestive stimulants.
It burns up Ama and cleanses, SAGE has a strong action for reducing excess secretions in the body. Sage has a special power to clear emotional obstructions from the mind and promote calmness and clarity. Cinnamon, lemon grass, turmeric, sweet almond oil and a host of other oils to nurture your skin are included in this mix. It is very potent, use it carefully at first, take a small handful and mix it with warm water and massage the thighs and bottom first using firm strokes and letting the scrub generate energy into the body. You can make a poultice by putting a large handful into a square of cotton tying it into a ball and using it to the massage the body. The contents have a deep colour that may stain your body or bath if left without washing off after use. The body staining is popular for people who want a bronze glow.
8. Ubtan Face and Body Polish / Paste Regenerate
This extremely traditional potion was used by ancient Vedic’s thousands of years ago. It was used to deeply cleanse and beautify the skin often used for Brides before their wedding night. Made from a range of natural cleansing and exfoliating products. At the Ayurveda Clinic and Spice Spa we use Ubtans in our body exfoliating treatment and we make several kinds depending on the person’s dosha. This Ubtan is made from organic wheat, organic mung, black Urid. Yellow sandalwood and pure vanilla.
You can use it dry or mix it into a paste and leave on to draw impurities from the body. To use dry you take a small portion in the hand and rub the face gently massaging the ingredients gently into the skin in small circular movements. Rinse with warm water. As a paste mix it with water or fragranced water to a consistency that you like and paste onto the area face or body and leave it to dry. Wash off with warm water.
9. Neem Face Mask
This 100% natural face mask is a mixture of highly antiseptic Neem and other exfoliating and soothing herbs. Using this pack once a week will regulate the excess of sebum, reduces oily skin, pimples and blackheads. It also tones and firms up the skin.
Put a teaspoon into a small bowl and mix with a little water or rose water if your skin is oily. Mix with a little milk or soya milk if your skin needs moisturizing. Apply on face with a brush and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse well. If you have acne, leave on for 15 minutes. The Neem mask can be used on your back to treat pimples and scars, leave on for 30 minutes.
10. Fuller’s Earth Face Mask
Makes an excellent cleansing mask, and possesses highly absorbent qualities. It is rich in minerals and when applied to the skin in the form of a paste, which is ready mixed in our formulas, it helps improve circulation; it will harden on the skin slowly as it dries, and absorbs the dead cells on the top of the skin and dries up any excess oil. The mineral ingredient in fuller’s earth gives the absorbent action, is the hydrated aluminum silicate. Grease of the skin, coats the particles of aluminum silicate and is lifted away from the skin when the mask is removed. Do not use it for dry skin but excellent for oily skin.
11. Chamomile Face Mask
Calamine mask is for troublesome skin. It is a soothing cleansing mask to reach for whenever you see feel a spot starting and for sensitive and young skins. Use it to clean and refresh and sooth your face gently. Because it is made from calamine it is a calming cleanser for many skin types. Add rose, tea tree and lavender essential oils as an extra if you want to achieve powerful, skin-calming properties. Clears spots, it soothes and eases many more skin complaints.
12. Kaolin Face Mask
One of the oldest cosmetic ingredients, it is used extensively and gets its name from the place where it originated - the Kaoling Hill in the Kiangsi province in China. This mask has excellent absorbent qualities. The qualities are used to draw out impurities and toxins as they are electromagnetic charged and thereby clear the skin of excess oil, dirt, pollutions and other waste materials. Kaolin is a native hydrated aluminum silicate and is classified as an inorganic.
*Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is very powerful, it is a "signal" and not a nutrient, Application of EGF to the skin will accelerate healing and, when applied to ageing skin, it will increase the rate of skin renewal, which decreases with age. This is a specialty protein made using biotechnology. Biotechnology is a short name for an array of sophisticated methods that allow our scientists to make almost pure and fully active protein at a fraction of the cost and at the expense of destroying and of extracting it from plants in the wild, where it is the most effective. |
